A LOVELY HOME IS WHAT SOCIETY NEEDS

Image
Written by W.N V incent       Have you ever watched the video of a love song? I mean a clean video with really great lyric? What were your thoughts? The other day I was going through the WhatsApp statuses of people on my contact list. Just then, I came across a video on the status of Mr. Luis. It was a love song sung by a white guy. I used ‘White’ because I don’t know the singer or where he comes from. I only know his skin color and accent put him in that category. I hope I’m not being racist. I can’t remember the lyrics of the song, but what I can’t forget is how his every action showed that he loved and cared for the lady he was singing to. It was so lovely that I slipped into Mr. Luis’ DM (direct message) and said to him, “These people sure know how to be romantic. When you watch them express love, you just love it and you just want to get into a relationship quickly”. He said it was because they used the simple things around to express love...

"PLAY IS THE HIGHEST FORM OF RESEARCH" - Albert Einstein

Written by W.N Vincent Over the years, and despite the diverse challenges, the Nigerian culture has managed to survive via some sort of telepathic connection, if I must say. We may talk about ourselves within the country, but the moment an ‘outsider’ talks about us, everyone will ‘attack’ that outsider. Whether we have got our backs bumper-to-bumper in such cases or we just like savage replies, I do not know, but it seems to be working for us. You may have lived in Kaduna, Enugu, Ibadan, or Bayelsa, but growing up, there were some things we all did the same despite the geographical, ethnic, cultural and language barriers. Let’s roll back the years, shall we? We all played games like, ‘War start’, ‘Canter ball’, ‘Boju-Boju’, ‘Rope-skipping’, ‘Police and Thief’, ‘Tinko-Tinko’, ‘Ten-Ten’, ‘Ayo’, ‘Suwe’, ‘Who will you marry?’, ‘Street/Compound soccer’, just to mention but a few, for both the male and the female child. Even if your parents moved from Warri to Akwa Ibom, you could...

The Road To Success You apparently don't have  all you need to achieve your dreams and goals now.😩 Just be consistent in what you do, even when help seem a thousand mile away.😴 Strategically plan and work with the available resources (physical and mental).  You're permitted to cry, when you can't hold it, but pls don't  give up or say something negative to yourself. 😢 Loved ones could become strangers at the process, people will give up on you, but get this......they shouldn't be your problem, they're only playing a dormant role . 😦 In your scale of preference, you will make so much sacrifice and opportunity cost ,while inventing in yourself and the future. 😃 Don't feel you're a failure or behind , when you see others succeeding. Your angle of elevation is not as same with theirs, keep climbing, there's a very top. 😅 Don't feel God is being hard on you or probably, forgotten you , You're jus...

Thé Family altar

I've always wanted to make this post, but I keep on postponing it, but the urge to say this keeps coming, and I believe the holysprit wants to speak to someone now and in the future............ Read on and share 😊 I grew up learning One major thing in life, from my parents and that was 'The Family altar'. I've meet quite some numbers of children, who don't know what it means to have a morning devotion at home. When asked if they prayed that morning, they stare at my face as if I spoke in parables.     We had a center table in my house, while growing up,  where my parents would gather the six of us ( I and my siblings ) to knee down every morning for devotion,Dad would always tell us, "God loves children and hearkens to their voice very fast, so pray very well". We worshiped God and prayed on that table each morning till we all grew up even till date. My Dad later called that center table 'The family altar '. It became a part of us as the ...

LIFE's MISSION          We are sojourners here on earth, our days of journey are numbered, we'll definitely pass on from here some day, but have we considered asking ourselves this simple questions  ? : What am I doing presently?  What and who brought me here?  Why was I brought on earth (My life mission) ? How far have I walked to accomplish my life  mission? These actually are profound questions walking towards ' Creation purpose and mandate ' .        A man who knows his mission in earth, will pursue it everything he's got, without giving a chance to distraction,  A little distraction can take you off focus and off-balance . Many today are busy accomplishing another man's mission, being ignorant (no clue or direction)  or abandoning theirs, thus having no satisfaction in life.        Jesus said in John 9:15 "As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world ". Hé...

Few days back,  I had received a phone call from a colleague of mine, while in the midst of the conversation, in anger she threw some unexpected words at me, which almost traumatized me all through the day. Each minute I try to get over those words, they kept coming, as if I could hear them audibly. I was disappointed  at myself, everyone who came around where concerned to know why the sad countenance, but I couldn't explain, because I knew my flaws got me those words.      I arrived home that night, depressed, I sat down, then thought about what had happened, I wanted to erase it off my mind and countenance, though was difficult. Finally,i asked the holysprit to help me, immediately he ministered this to me "Your flaws got you those words that made you depressed today, humans are bound to flaw ,but don't settle with it, accept it's your flaw when people throw it at you or say it to your face, never l...
