   I made a promise,to keep it, to preserve it, to protect it, and to guide it jealously,as a precious gift to him. I carried myself as an egg so carefully.It was my pride, my dignity, I wouldn't want to loose it for any damn reason no matter what, sure times came when I became so scared not because I was gonna loose it,but  loose it to the wrong person.I was a shy type,and that I think was an advantage.    In class 9,we got a new classmate,while he moved to his seat, you could imagine all eyes on him, I guess the female students were more excited than the male,having a new mate among us, he was fair to look on, tall, handsome, curly hair and seems to be very smart and very intelligent, maybe he could be the Mr.  Right ,since he possesses all the features of my dream man*smiles*.When I tried to be myself,i notice I wasn't just me again, couldn't concentrate in class anymore, what?!!!!     December 2018 , a period I wouldn't want to share even with my enemy, or talk about, but I pen this here for someone to learn and get blessed, so read down. It was a  "Season of pruning" for me - I was cut off from few things and people, I was stretched, broken, depressed and wounded .           My birth anniversary,5th on that precise year and month , was one I didn't anticipate so much. My plans for that day were shattered, I felt handicapped and pained at that moment, knowing I couldn't do anything, like I had done the last year, visit the orphanage home, spend precious time with them and receive that kind hearted prayers of those beautiful kids. So funny I spent that day in the lecture hall, learning , and scrolling down my Facebook timeline and WhatsApp, grin as I gazed at the  tears dropping birthday write-ups of well wishers and amazing friends, as their birthday calls came in with the 'Birthday' rhythm . We may talk about ourselves within the country, but the moment an ‘outsider’ talks about us, everyone will ‘attack’ that outsider. Whether we have got our backs bumper-to-bumper in such cases or we just like savage replies, I do not know, but it seems to be working for us. You may have lived in Kaduna, Enugu, Ibadan, or Bayelsa, but growing up, there were some things we all did the same despite the geographical, ethnic, cultural and language barriers.
